I ask you to join me in the effort to raise funds for Connecting for Children & Families’ 7th Annual Make Tracks for Kids 5K.
Your support is more vital than ever with proposed budget cuts that would “eliminate $1.1 billion for afterschool programs, which would have a devastating effect on 12,000 Rhode Island students, many of them poor and minority children.” CCF’s afterschool programs alone stand to lose $540,000 – two-thirds of our budget – next to impossible to raise from private sources.
Connecting for Children and Families (CCF) is a community-based, non-profit organization with a mission to transform the lives of Woonsocket children through high quality educational opportunities and family support. We envision Woonsocket as a city where every child gets the best start in life and grows into his or her full potential.
Our fun-filled 5K winds through the beautiful campus of Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Theme: Superheroes for Future Heroes. Come dressed as your favorite superhero - prizes for the Best Costume! Please consider being one of ourSuperheroes and donate today!
100% of the funds raised from this event benefit our award-winning programs. Whether it is providing after-school academic enrichment programs, including homework help for children grades K-12, or helping an unemployed father find work, together we are helping people improve their lives by lending a helping hand in their time of need. That is why your support is so important!
Please donate... any amount is greatly appreciated.
